Azureus is a Java based BitTorrent client that offers multiple torrent downloads, queuing/priority systems (on torrents and files), start/stop seeding options and instant access to numerous pieces of information about your torrents. It also features an embedded tracker that is easily set up and ready to use.
Azureus connects to the BitTorrent network. BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer protocol designed to transfer files. Users connect directly to send and receive portions of a file, while a central tracker coordinates the action of all peers and manages connections without knowledge of the contents of the files being distributed. With BitTorrent, users upload at the same time they download, so network bandwidth is managed as efficiently as possible. BitTorrent is designed to work better than other file-transfer protocols as the number of people interested in a certain file increases. Azureus support for 27 languages.

Azureus 3.0: Vuze

Ünlü BitTorrent istemcisi Azureus'un yeni sürümü, çokluortam dünyasına yasal yoldan dalmak için bire bir. Yeni görünümüyle Azureus Vuze karşınızda.
Aslında Vuze için Azureus geliştiricilerinin yeni bir iTunes yaratma girişimi diyebiliriz. Tabii burada temelde yine BitTorrent sistemi etkin şekilde çalışıyor. Ayrıca geri planda Azureus yine çalışırken sadece üzerine bir arabirim giydirmesi yapılmış durumda.

Teknik Üzerinde Taktik
Yalnızca tek bir tuşa tıklayarak alışıldık Azureus arabirimine ulaşabildiğiniz Vuze'da, açılış sayfasında da indirilen ve gönderilen dosyaları görebiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca sayfanın sağında ise karşınıza en son dolaşıma çıkmış dosyalardan seçmeler de görüntüleniyor.

Azureus içerik ortaklarıyla beraber çalışmanın yanısıra kullanıcılara da Vuze üzerinden dosyaları (herhangi bir BitTorrent istemcisinde olduğu gibi) dağıtma imkanı veriyor. Tabii Vuze ile bu işi yaptığınızda, aramalarda çıkabiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca Azureus içerik ortaklarıyla beraber içerik kiralama ve satma konusunda da adımlar atmış durumda. Ayrıca Vuze sisteminde yeni nesil yüksek tanımlı internet yayıncılığına oldukça fazla atıf var.
